The Sherman T23 turret kits is a much needed upgrade to
the 1/16 Tamiya Sherman kit, what with the
loss of the B.Y.A kit, historical variance of choice for
the Sherman had rapidly come to a screaming halt, until
now. I'm no stranger to Nick Aguilar's products, having
purchased a 1/16 M4A1 cast hull from him around a your
ago his work has left lasting impressions of quality and
excellence so when ask to do a review of his latest T23
turret I jumped at the chance.

Once the kit arrived I could tell by examining the part
trees that this kit had been created by a tanker, this
due to the extra supply of small replacement static
parts and the turrets reinforced design. It's thicker
than a standard Tamiya turret ranging from 3mils to
6mils thick around the high stress areas. The outside
texture and detail are what catches the eye right down
to the open periscopes on the commanders hatch. Fitting
on the stock Tamiya hull is easy and a perfect match,
gone are the days of endless sanding with this kit.

Nick has done some innovative design work on the kit to
make assembly easy and fast; like pre-grooved
mounting for the metal cross support that holds the
elevation unit and turret ring and retaining pins that
simply press-in to hold the mantlet in place,
pre-drilled and cast instillation points for an easy
battle system install.

Nick Aguilar's Resin T23 Turret kit is a must have, it's
ease of installation and unbelievable durability makes
this kit a much sought after modification for any
Sherman on or off the battlefield.
